What is Echinacea?
Echinacea is a wildflower native to North America. It is the root or the above ground part of the plant that is used for medicinal purposes and promotes health.
What does Echinacea do?
Echinacea supports the immune system. Several constituents in the Echinacea team work together to increase the production and activity in white blood cells, Lymphocytes, and macrophages. Echinacea also increases the production of interferon, an important part of the body’s response to vital infections such as colds and flu.

How much should I take?
As an immune system stimulant Echinacea is best taken for a specific period of time. At the onset of a cold it can be taken three to 4 times a day for 10 to fourteen days. To prevent a cold many people take Echinacea tablets or capsules three times a day for six to eight weeks.
